Nepra to hear govt's petition on April 3
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federal government has suggested NEPRA to raise electricity prices by six rupees for consumers in Karachi. The summary has been sent to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
NEPRA decided to consider the request on April, 3rd. The government requested the hike under two bi-annual adjustments, and the prices will be raised by 4 rupees and 45 paisa under the first bi-annual adjustment.
According to NEPRA, the prices will be raised by 1 rupee and 55 paisa under the 2nd bi-annual adjustment of the previous year, which is intended to maintain parity. In case of approval of summary, the additional prices will be charged from April-June, 2023.
