Turkiye has dismissed Indian media reports linking Ankara to New Delhi car bombing that killed 12 people and injured at least 20
ANKARA (Dunya News) - Turkiye strongly rejected Indian media reports alleging that Ankara was involved in this week’s car bombing in New Delhi, which left 12 people dead and at least 20 others injured.
According to Turkiye’s state news agency Anadolu, the country’s Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) issued a statement, refuting the false claims circulated by certain Indian media outlets.
The DMM clarified that reports suggesting Turkiye’s involvement in terrorist activities in India — including providing logistical, diplomatic, or financial support to militant groups — were entirely baseless.

The Turkish Directorate of Communications also shared screenshots of social media posts from two Indian media organisations that accused Ankara of “radicalising sleeper cells” and aiding global terrorist networks.

The directorate condemned the reports as part of a malicious disinformation campaign aimed at damaging bilateral relations between Turkiye and India.
“The claim that Turkiye is involved in extremist activities targeting India or any other country is completely misleading and unfounded,” the statement said, adding that such propaganda sought to undermine Ankara’s ongoing efforts to promote international peace, security, and stability.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed that all those responsible for the Delhi car bombing will be brought to justice, while Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered a full-scale investigation to apprehend the perpetrators.
