(Web Desk) - A woman from Indonesia got a huge shock 10 months after being married to her ‘husband’. In the bizarre incident, the woman came to realise that the groom was in fact not a man.
The woman claimed that she met her ‘husband’ on a dating app and came to know that the person was a surgeon and had a business as well. After courtship, the couple got married in a secret ceremony and the bride was moved away from her family.
Things turned sour after the couple moved away to South Sumatra and the groom regularly pestered the bride’s family for money. According to a report by The Mirror, the bride claimed that her ‘husband’ conned her family of Rs 15 lakh. She also stated that the person couldn’t produce any documents for a legal marriage. That is why they had to get married in secret. The bride was confined to the house after she came to know about the truth.
After her family approached the police, the pair were tracked down. The bride registered a case at Jambi District Court in Indonesia on Tuesday, June 14.
