Pakistan hosts first industry-backed drone technology expo

 ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan has hosted its first-ever drone technology expo in collaboration with the private sector, showcasing advanced Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS technologies.

The event, held at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, took place on December 3 and 4, organised in partnership with Drone Tech X.

More than 50 companies participated in the seminar and exhibition, jointly organised by the Ministry of Defence Production and DEPO, where local expertise in the design, manufacturing, and support systems of unmanned aircraft was demonstrated.

The expo not only highlighted cutting-edge drone technologies but also played a key role in strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. It created an effective platform for public- and private-sector partners, engineers, and experts to expand professional linkages.
