(Reuters) - Amazon.com's (AMZN.O) streaming unit Twitch is refreshing its safety advisory council to add members from its community of so-called "Twitch Ambassadors", it said on Thursday.
The ambassadors are users that "positively contribute to the Twitch community". according to its website. Previously, it also consisted of online safety experts and anti-bullying advocates.
Unveiled in 2020, the council offers guidance to help improve safety on the site.
"After working with many of the same core members for several years, we have brought in new council members to offer fresh, diverse perspectives," a company spokesperson said.
The move was first reported by CNBC. Contracts of previous members will be terminated, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters.
