MUNICH, Germany (Reuters) - Serbia manager Dragan Stojkovic recalled captain Dusan Tadic to the starting lineup against Slovenia on Thursday after leaving the influential attacking player on the bench until the second half of their Euro 2024 opener against England.

Serbia will also play without Juventus winger Filip Kostic, who left the tournament after injuring his knee in the 1-0 loss to England. Midfielder Ivan Ilic was handed his first start of Euro 2024.

Serbia will rely on Tadic to bolster their attack along with striker Dusan Vlahovic and 29-year old Aleksandar Mitrovic in the Group C match at the Munich Football Arena.

There were no changes for Slovenia from their opening game lineup that included forward Benjamin Sesko and Erik Janza, who notched the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Denmark.
