In an exclusive talk with Pakistan TV, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar confirmed Pakistan’s Air Force carried out precise airstrikes in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia, destroying Taliban posts, brigade headquarters, ammunition depots, and logistic.
The strikes eliminated two corps headquarters, three brigade headquarters, three battalion headquarters, and two sector headquarters, along with two ammunition depots and a logistics base.
More than 80 tanks, artillery guns, and armored personnel carriers were also destroyed in the operations, which Tarar described as Pakistan’s “immediate and effective response” to Taliban aggression.
Speaking earlier to Pakistan TV, Tarar said the action followed Afghan Taliban fire at multiple locations along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border.
“Unprovoked firing by the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border is being and will continue to be responded to in a strong and effective manner,” he said.
Tarar also slammed the Afghan Taliban regime for spreading false narratives after suffering heavy losses, saying fabricated claims were being amplified by Afghan and Indian social media accounts to mislead the public.
He said Pakistan’s armed forces remain unfazed by such propaganda and fully focused on defending national security. The Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zabiullah Mujahid acknowledged in a post on X that Pakistani airstrikes struck targets in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia.
