Lahore High Court announces a new judge roster for March 2-May 2, with 9 division benches and 27 single benches.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced a new roster for its judges, which will be in effect for next two months from March 2 to May 2.
The roster, approved by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum, designates the allocation of cases and sets up various benches to handle different types of appeals and cases during the next two months.
The new structure includes nine division benches that will hear cases at the principal seat, while 27 judges will handle cases as part of single benches. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum will head a two-judge bench that will hear all types of appeals.
A two-judge bench consisting of Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Javed Iqbal Venus will hear cases related to tax and commercial appeals.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB), anti-terrorism, and criminal appeals will be heard by a bench with Justice Shahbaz Rizvi and Justice Sardar Akbar Ali Dogar.
A bench led by Justice Faisal Zaman Khan and Justice Chaudhry Iqbal will hear civil appeals while murder and narcotics appeals will be heard by a bench comprising Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry.
Narcotics appeals will be heard a bench led by Justice Farooq Haider while tax references will be heard by a two-judge bench led by Justice Hassan Nawaz Makhdoom and Justice Malik Awais Khalid.
