RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - A special anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has reissued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan during the hearing of the November 26 protest case.

The case was heard by ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah, who directed authorities to arrest Aleema Khan and present her before the court on Friday.

The hearing of the case against Aleema Khan has been adjourned until Friday, February 13.

A day earlier, Aleema Khan admitted that she did not participate in the February 8 protest.

Aleema Khan said that on February 8, they did not come out for a rally; instead, they took part in the protest while staying at home. She added that her children and her sister’s children flew kites marked with “Qaidi No. 804” (Prisoner No. 804), the identification number assigned to PTI founder Imran Khan.

Aleema Khan described the February 8 strike as successful and alleged that various news reports were being circulated to divert attention. “On that day, we protested while staying at home,” she said.

She further stated that they will approach the Supreme Court and will find out about the report regarding the PTI founder. She said that Barrister Salman Safdar informed them that he had a two-hour meeting with him.
