ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Asif Ali Zardari has approved a special allowance for additional attorneys general who have served for extended periods, following a summary sent by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The approval includes amendments to the service conditions and regulations for additional, deputy, and assistant attorneys general.

The amendments introduce a new “Additional AG Allowance” for the officials who have served for over 10 years in the capacity of assistant attorney general. This initiative is aimed at recognizing the contributions of those who have dedicated long and continuous service to the legal profession.

Officials believe that this measure will encourage officers within the legal cadre by acknowledging their professionalism and consistent efforts.

Under the new provisions, officers who have served for over a decade in the position of assistant attorney general will be eligible for financial benefits and incentives, as per the newly approved summary.
