ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court has granted major relief to Najaf Hameed in a fraud case by restraining the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from arresting him.

Following an initial hearing on the petition, the court issued notices to the relevant parties and sought their replies, while adjourning further proceedings to a later date.

The High Court also suspended, until the next hearing, the order of the Special Judge Central that had approved the FIA’s request to withdraw Najaf Hameed’s pre-arrest bail.

The Special Judge Central had issued this order on January 16.

Najaf Hameed had challenged the cancellation of his pre-arrest bail before the Islamabad High Court, seeking relief against the decision.
