LAHORE (Dunya News) - A large influx of visitors from Karachi and other cities has poured into Lahore ahead of Basant celebrations, with nearly all flights fully booked.

According to sources, almost all flights arriving in Lahore from Karachi, Dubai, Sharjah and Qatar are fully booked. Several flights operated by PIA and other airlines from Karachi to Lahore have reportedly been overloaded, while most flights scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are already sold out.

Airport officials said airfares on the Karachi–Lahore route have increased by Rs5,000 to Rs10,000 due to high demand.

Meanwhile, prices of items commonly used during Basant festivities have also surged. Citizens reported a sharp increase in the cost of barbecue supplies, coal and firewood, with many items becoming increasingly unaffordable for the public.
