ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain and snowfall across various parts of the country starting from today.

According to the Met Office, rain and snowfall are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. Islamabad, Murree, and the Galiyat region are also likely to receive rain along with snowfall, while several areas of Punjab may experience cloudy weather with intermittent rain.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, and Kohat. Meanwhile, heavy snowfall in upper areas including Naran, Kaghan, Kalam, and Chitral may lead to road blockages, increasing the risk of travel disruptions.

The PMD further stated that parts of Balochistan, including Qalat, Mastung, Zhob, Noshki, and Kharan, are likely to receive rainfall. Additionally, snowfall is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, and Qila Abdullah on Monday and Tuesday.

Authorities have advised tourists and commuters to exercise caution, particularly in hilly regions, due to the possibility of slippery roads and reduced visibility. Relevant departments have been alerted to remain prepared for any emergency situations arising from adverse weather conditions.
