FIA Immigration offloaded Karachi Municipal Commissioner Afzal Zaidi from a flight to Türkiye after his name appeared on the stop list, barring him from foreign travel.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration stopped Karachi Municipal Commissioner Afzal Zaidi from travelling abroad and offloaded him from a flight to Türkiye after his name was found on the stop list.
Afzal Zaidi was scheduled to travel from Karachi to Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight late last night. However, immigration counter staff denied him permission to travel due to his inclusion on the stop list and offloaded him from the flight.
Sources said immigration officials informed him that he could not travel abroad while his name remained on the list, advising him to first have his name removed or obtain court permission before attempting international travel.
Sources further revealed that dozens of officers have been placed on a special watch list due to various allegations.
