Punjab Bar Council announces to hold General House meetings on roads

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) has announced that General House meetings will be held on roads across the province today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.

According to a statement issued by the Punjab Bar Council, police personnel [from today] will be barred from entering court premises. Bar associations throughout Punjab are instructed to hold their General House meetings on the road, and video recordings of these meetings should be sent to the chairman executive.

The statement further added that lawyers will observe a strike in subordinate courts today. It further stated that the killers of the lawyers in Vehari and Jhang have not been arrested yet, and the IG Punjab is deliberately avoiding meeting with representatives of the lawyers.
