UNITED NATIONS (Dunya News) - UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has decried the deadly suicide attack in Peshawar on Monday in which three Federal Constabulary (FC) men were martyred.

“We obviously condemn this attack…,” the UN Chief’s Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said in response to a question at the regular noon briefing at UN Headquarters in New York.

The terrorist attack took place at the FC headquarters located on the busy Saddar Road in Peshawar.

It is pertinent to mention here that three Federal Constabulary (FC) officials were martyred while three terrorists killed and five people, including two officials, injured in an attack on the headquarters in the Saddar area of the city on Monday morning.

According to Peshawar Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mian Saeed, three suicide bombers carried out the attack. One of them blew himself up at the gate at 8:10 in the morning. Three personnel stationed at the gate were martyred in the explosion.

Taking advantage of the blast, the two remaining attackers entered the building, he added.

The CCPO said the two attackers who entered inside were immediately killed by the FC officials.
