Dar discusses regional, global developments with members of EU Parliament

DPM Ishaq Dar met key European Parliament members in Brussels to discuss enhancing Pakistan-EU cooperation and regional developments during his official visit for the 7th Pakistan-EU dialogue.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held an important meeting with key members of the European Parliament at the Pakistan House in Brussels.

They exchanged views on enhancing Pakistan-EU cooperation in various areas of mutual interest as well as on regional and global developments, the Foreign Office said in a statement on Thursday.

A day earlier, Dar arrived in Brussels on an official visit to participate in the 7th Session of Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue.

Upon arrival, the deputy prime minister was received by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the EU, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, and officers from the Pakistan Embassy.

He will also participate in the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.

The deputy prime minister will attend a session on “Maritime Security” in Brussels as well.

On the sidelines of the forum, Senator Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of various countries.

The DPM/FM’s visit to Brussels is expected to serve as an important milestone in further strengthening Pakistan-EU relations.
