LAHORE (Dunya News) - Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora on Tuesday said that Indian media tried to discourage Sikh pilgrims from coming to Pakistan and always engages in propaganda against the country.

A grand ceremony was organised at Hazuri Bagh near the Shahi Qila on the occasion of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birth anniversary which was attended by a large number of Sikh pilgrims from India and around the world.

Provincial Minister Arora attended the ceremony as a special guest, while Provincial Minister for Law Rana Iqbal Khan and MPA Shoaib Siddiqui were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Arora said that the Kartarpur Corridor has been closed by India from May 7, and the arrival of Sikh pilgrims in Pakistan proves that Pakistan has always welcomed them warmly.

He added that Pakistan has always spread love, and Sikh pilgrims never feel like they are in a foreign country when visiting Pakistan. He welcomed all Sikh pilgrims to Pakistan and praised the arrangements made for them.

Arora said that the pilgrims themselves witnessed the excellent arrangements in Pakistan. He also extended a message of love and welcome to all Sikh visitors.
