No pressure, threat can prevent 27th Amendment approval: Talal

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): Minister of State for Interior Senator Talal Chaudhry on Sunday said that no amount of pressure or threats can prevent the 27th Constitutional Amendment from being approved.

In his statement, Talal Chaudhry said that a consensus has been reached on many points, and efforts are being made to ensure that all matters are settled unanimously.

He further said that consultations on the 27th Amendment have been ongoing for several months, emphasizing that “if we are part of Parliament, we should not run away from it -- the farther we move from Parliament, the more we exclude ourselves from politics.”
