PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The repatriation of Afghan citizens from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is continuing.

According to the provincial Home Department, on September 8, a total of 2,491 people returned to Afghanistan via the Torkham border, including 746 undocumented individuals. So far, over 743,000 Afghans have returned from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Nationwide 605,992 undocumented residents have gone back to Afghanistan.

The Home Department stated that 89,467 Proof of Registration (PoR) cardholders and 48,254 Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders were also sent back. The majority of the returns took place through the Torkham border.

According to the provincial Home Department, from other regions including Islamabad, Punjab, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, a total of 30,694 Afghan nationals have also been repatriated.
