JEDDAH (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Bangladesh, while expressed deep concern over the ongoing genocide, famine, and humanitarian catastrophe, have called for ceasefire in Gaza.

The understanding was reached during meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Advisor for Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Touhid Hossain, on the sidelines of the 21st extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah.

They expressed strong solidarity with the just cause of Palestine, underscoring the urgent need for unhindered humanitarian access, a permanent ceasefire, and lasting peace through a two-state solution.

Pakistan and Bangladesh have also agreed to work closely on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing regional cooperation for shared prosperity.

In a message on X following the meeting, Ishaq Dar said they reaffirmed new momentum in Pak-Bangladesh relations and look forward to seeing the fruits of our cooperation across diverse fields.
