Around 2,500 police personnel will be deployed across key roads and entry points in the capital
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad district administration has issued a strict warning and imposed Section 144 in the federal capital, banning all public gatherings and rallies.
According to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, anyone found involved in unlawful activities will be arrested on the spot.
“No kind of assembly or protest is allowed under Section 144, and any violation will lead to strict legal action,” he said.
Citizens have been urged to steer clear of illegal gatherings and to cooperate with authorities.
Meanwhile, sources revealed that Islamabad Police have drawn up a comprehensive security plan for a possible PTI protest scheduled for August 5.
As part of the plan, around 2,500 police personnel will be deployed across key roads and entry points in the capital.
Authorities also confirmed that no protest permit has been issued, and any demonstrations held without prior permission will be considered a violation of the law. Legal action will be taken against those who go against the orders.
Officials emphasised that the security arrangements are aimed at maintaining law and order and avoiding any disturbance to public peace.
