ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has warned that if Pakistan fails in its fight against terrorism, the repercussions will extend far beyond its borders and affect the entire world.

Speaking at a Police Martyrs’ Day ceremony in Islamabad, Talal Chaudhry said political efforts are crucial alongside military operations to win the war against terrorism.

“If terrorism spreads further, the whole world will be in its grip. Without political will, this war cannot be won,” he stated.

The minister highlighted that two to three security personnel are martyred daily and criticized the lack of responsibility shown by the provincial governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where terrorist activities are more frequent.

He praised the sacrifices of police and law enforcement agencies, stating, “This uniform is an honor and a duty; sometimes it becomes a shroud. The martyrs leave this world to keep us safe. Their sacrifices are beyond any compensation or benefits.”

Talal Chaudhry also noted Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace, mentioning that Iran and Pakistan have pledged joint action against terrorism. He further stated that Islamabad continues to engage with Afghanistan to fulfill its responsibilities in ensuring cross-border peace.

He added that the government has eliminated disparities between FC, Rangers, and Police in martyrs’ packages and strengthened the Islamabad Police with additional resources.
