BANNU (Dunya News) – Security forces conducted an operation against the outlawed group in Bannu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing eight terrorists, while a major and two soldiers were martyred.
According to ISPR, security forces launched the operation in Baka Khel, Bannu, based on intelligence reports. During an intense exchange of gunfire, eight terrorists were killed, and seven others were injured.
The operation was led by Major Atif Khalil, who, along with two soldiers, was martyred in the fierce battle.
ISPR reported that Major Atif Khalil, 31, hailed from Sudhanoti, Azad Kashmir, and had served over eight years in defending the nation. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Naik Azadullah, a martyr from district Karak, was 36 years old and served the army for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas, 35, hailed from district Layyah and served in the army for 14 years. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son.
The ISPR spokesperson added that a clearance operation is ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists, affirming that security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism, and the sacrifices of brave soldiers only strengthen their resolve.
