10 new passport printing machines arrive in Pakistan

With the new machines, daily passport printing capacity will double
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Ministry of Interior has announced that the issue of passport printing delays has been resolved with the arrival of 10 new passport printing desktop machines from abroad.
The installation of these machines in passport office is currently underway, and they are expected to become operational next week.
With the new machines, daily passport printing capacity will be doubled.

Currently, approximately 20,000 to 22,000 passports are printed daily, while applications nationwide range between 45,000 and 50,000 per day.
