Punjab CM, Belgium Ambassador held a meeting to strengthen bilateral ties
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz and Belgium’s Ambassador Idesbald van der Gracht de Rommerswael have expressed interest to strengthen bilateral ties and boost cooperation during the meeting.
They stressed the need to explore more opportunities to promote cooperation between both states.
Ambassador of Belgium hailed the Punjab CM’s people friendly policies and commended the Punjab government’s economic vision.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the Punjab government aimed for the cooperation of Belgium in the education, IT and agriculture sectors.
Punjab CM informed him about the Punjab government’s initiatives including provision of IT training to youth as per international standard and mechanisation of agriculture sector.
The Belgian ambassador commended the Punjab government’s initiatives and concrete measures to mitigate climate change induced challenges and environmental protection.
Innovative environment friendly measures in Punjab would create impactful results, Rommerswael added.
Idesbald informed that Belgium was interested to invest in Pakistan and collaborate in the education, agriculture and other sectors.
