ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senator Qasim Ronjho, a dissident member of the Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal), has resigned from the Senate.

Senator Qasim Ronjho submitted his resignation to the Senate secretary on Tuesday.

Qasim Ronjho was also the parliamentary leader of BNP-Mengal in the Senate. The head of the Balochistan National Party, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, had asked both senators to resign.

BNP-Mengal Senators Naseema Ehsan and Qasim Ronjho had crossed the floor in favour of the 26th constitutional amendment.
