Military deployment complete around Islamabad ahead of SCO meeting

Pakistan Army troops were now in control of D-Chowk
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Security measures have been intensified with the completion of military deployments in and around Islamabad in light of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting.
Sources indicated that Pakistan Army troops were now in control of D-Chowk, with ongoing patrols in the Red Zone.
The Ministry of Interior issued deployment orders under Article 245 of the Constitution.
The military presence in Islamabad is set to last from Oct 5 to 17 in accordance with the SCO meeting.
The sources added that no miscreant would be allowed to disrupt peace and order.
