Cipher case proceedings scheduled in Adiala Jail today

Twelve lawyers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have been allowed to go inside the jail

(Dunya News) – The Special Court will hear the cipher case today (Wednesday) against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and its vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

The in-camera proceedings of the cipher case will be held at the Adiala Jail and special court’s judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain will hear the case. The PTI lawyers and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will reach the Adiala Jail.

The accused—PTI chairman and Qureshi—will be given the challan copies as the FIA submitted a challan in the court terming both of the accused guilty.

As many as twelve lawyers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf have been allowed to go inside the jail.

Earlier, the special court judge sought the law department opinion regarding the hearing of cipher case venue.

Dispatching a letter to the law department to know that whether the hearing would be held in the Adiala Jail or Judicial Complex. He also asked the department about the security threats if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman would be brought to the court.

He said that the chairman PTI is an important political personality and his security must be focused.

The judge mentioned in the letter that hearing would be held in the Judicial Complex if there are no security threats.
