Azerbaijan to start direct flights to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Azerbaijan's national airline Azal will start regular flights to Pakistan from Sept 20.
According to media reports, the spokesperson for the Embassy of Azerbaijan said the flights would be operated to Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
The spokesperson said Azal service had been initiated to promote relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, to strengthen tourism, international transport and diplomatic relations.
“The three cities are important historical and cultural centres of Pakistan, which is why it is very interesting to visit them,” the spokesperson said, adding that flights from Baku to Islamabad would be operated on Wednesday and Saturday, to Lahore on Monday and Friday and to Karachi on Thursday and Sunday. The schedule has been provided for the convenience of passengers.
