Rejects plea to grant 20-day remand

LAHORE (Dunya News) - In a recent development of the Jinnah House attack case, an Anti-Terrorism Court on Thursday approved the seven-day physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf central leader, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rasheed.

The accused was earlier granted a two-day physical remand by the police but was admitted to the hospital on the orders of the Lahore High Court.

The investigating officer during the hearing presented the case to the court, stating that the investigation of the accused could not be completed due to his hospitalisation. As a result, further physical remand of 20 days was requested. However, the court granted seven-day physical remand.

It should be noted that the PTI leader is accused of attacking Jinnah House, and Sarwar Road police station has registered a case against him.
