The court upheld Tariq Shafi's bail too

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday rejected the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) plea seeking revocation of PTI chief Imran Khan’s bail in the prohibited funding case.

The court pronounced the verdict it had reserved in the case and rejected the plea against the revocation of Tariq Shaif’s bail too.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) moved the IHC against ruling of a banking court granting bail to Mr Khan.

The FIA took the plea that special court’s decision was against the law and pleaded to court to declare the ruling null and void and cancel Imran Khan’s bail. A banking court of Islamabad had granted bail to Mr Khan in the case under the Foreign Exchange Act.

The ECP, earlier today, turned down PTI's plea seeking the cross-examination of key witnesses  in the prohibited funding case. A three-member bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja, announced the ruling reserved on December 20. The bench also announced to proceed with the show cause notice served on the PTI.
