Interior Ministry forms new JIT to probe attack on Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Federal Ministry of Interior has re-constituted the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which is investigating attack on former prime minister and Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.
Sources privy to the development, said the federal government formed the new investigation team after objections of the lawyer of the accused Naveed.
According to the notification, the JIT will be convened by IG Railway Rao Sardar Ali Khan, while DIG Punjab Police Kamran Adil, and representatives of ISI, MI and IB will join the joint investigation team.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government had also reconstituted the JIT probing the attack on premier Prime Minister Imran Khan. The provincial home department replaced all the members over differences with the JIT chief.
