‘Forerunners of corruption in Pakistan’, Fawad lambasts Sharif family

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday lambasted Sharif family for being the forerunners of corruption in Pakistan.

Reacting to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s statement, the former federal minister said Mr Nawaz and his family plundered the country’s wealth and fled to London.

Mr Chaudhary added accountability cases against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif were not more than a drama.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif said "a man who is corrupt from head to toe is levelling allegations of corrupt practices at others."

Talking to media in London on Saturday, the former prime minister claimed that a conspiracy was hatched to defame the political leaders of Pakistan and urged the people to ponder over deeds and corruption of the PTI leaders.

Mr Sharif, while claiming that more evidence against Imran Khan in the Billion Tree project and Al-Qadir Trust case would surface, said corruption of more than Rs50 billion was committed in these projects while the poor masses were struggling to even get minimum wage of Rs20,000.
