ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman will meet Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif on Friday, Dunya News reported.

The meeting will be held at the residence of PML-N president in Model Town Lahore. According to sources, Shahbaz Sharif will brief Maulana Fazlur Rehman about his meeting with Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari.

Sources also revealed that the two leaders will also discuss the current political situation in the country.

Earlier on Saturday, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president and party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari held meeting with Shahbaz Sharif at his residence in Model Town.

Talking to media after the meeting Shahbaz Sharif said that the present government has failed to take the Kashmir cause forward, no progress has been made even in the OIC meeting. He said the heart of Kashmiri elders, brothers and sisters beat towards Pakistan and we assure them that the children of Pakistan will stand by them till they get the right of self-determination. “We will provide them all kinds of political and social support more than before.”

He said that terrorism has re-emerged, adding that the soldiers sacrificed their lives to eliminate terrorists. He said Zarb-e-Momin started during the PPP era, while Operations of Zarb-e-Azb and Raad-ul-Fasaad were started during Nawaz Sharif s tenure but it is unfortunate that during PTI during its three-year rule couldn’t implement National Action Plan.

Speaking on the occasion, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the opposition is united and will do everything constitutionally and legally possible to dislodge Imran Khan.

He said that in today’s meeting, both parties shared their plans to dislodge the PTI government.

The PPP chairman said that the PML-N is going to consult on our suggestions very soon, adding that the government has made the lives of the people hell through historic poverty, inflation and unemployment.

Regarding the Kashmir issue, Bilawal said that the government has failed to form consensus on the Kashmir cause. He expressed his concerns over the increasing incidents of terror in the country, especially in Balochistan.

“The government’s incapacity to deal with terrorism is very apparent,” he said and added it is natural that the government will be threatened with the unity in the opposition parties.

The PPP chairman also appreciated Shahbaz Sharif’s efforts to keep the opposition’s unity intact in the National Assembly.
