Railway traffic from Karachi to different parts of Punjab has been suspended on the up track.

TANDO ADAM (Dunya News) - Five bogies of freight train going to Lahore from Karachi derailed near Tando Adam, a town in Sindh province, on Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.

According to railway officials, railway traffic from Karachi to different parts of Punjab has been suspended on the up track due the derailment of five bogies of the goods train.

Due to derailment of freight train, a portion of railway track was damaged which would soon be restored after repair work, official sources added.

Railway officials also informed that rescue teams have been dispatched to the site for restoration of the railway track. Several trains from Karachi to Lahore and Multan have also been delayed.
