Intermittent rain in parts of country turns weather cold

The Met Office has predicted more rain in different parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Intermittent rain in different parts of country including Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Islamabad has turned weather cold, Dunya News reported on Tuesday.

In Lahore, the rain which started on Monday night continued on Tuesday with short intervals, bringing the mercury considerably down. The rain has also provided much needed relief to the residents from smog.

Light rain was reported from different other cities of Punjab including Bahawalpur, Vehari, Pir Mehal, Ahmedpur Sharqia and Shorkot Cantt. The Met Office has predicted more rain during the next 24 hours.

Intermittent rain was also reported in different parts of Karachi including Sarjani Town, Purana Golimar, Azizabad, Shahra-e-Faisal and other areas. At least 225 feeders tripped in Karachi due to rain, creating electricity breakdown in the metropolis.

Rain was also reported in different parts of Balochistan including, Quetta, Turbat, Panjgur and Gwadar. According to Met Office, the spell of rain will continue till January 6.
