Asad Umar said K-1V water project will also be completed by 2023

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Greenline Rapid Bus transit project in Karachi tomorrow (Friday).

Talking to media flanked by Federal Minster for Planning and Development Asad Umar in Karachi on Thursday, he said that the powers of local government have been greatly reduced in the Local Government Bill, while hospitals, colleges and schools are being taken back from Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and local government has been empowered.

The Governor Sindh said that in view of all this, we have proposed to amendments in the bill, adding that the system will not improve unless the powers are transferred to the lower level.

On the occasion, Asad Umar said that the Green Line is one the five big projects announced by the federal government for the city under Karachi Transformation Plan that has been completed and rest will also be completed soon.

He further said the K-1V water project will also be completed by 2023, after which about twenty six million gallon water will be available to the citizens of Karachi.
