CM Usman Buzdar visits Lahore without protocol, inspects different areas
"Garbage and rubbish should be picked up as soon as possible."
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar paid a detailed visit to different areas of Lahore without any protocol and inspected the sanitation situation in the city.
CM Usman Buzdar inspected the sanitation system in areas of Davis Road, Shimla Pahari, Empress Road, Cooper Road, Montgomery Road, McLeod Road and Lakshmi Chowk.
Usman Buzdar also observed the cleaning arrangements in Mayo Hospital Road, Mall Road, Multan Road, Lytton Road, Ferozepur Road, Shah Jamal, Shadman and other areas.
The chief minister drove around in the city for about two hours. No traffic was stopped at any place during this time. He stopped his vehicle and spoke to the cleaning workers as well.
CM Buzdar commended the workers for performing their duties to provide a clean environment to the citizens. He also directed them to make the cleaning operation more speedy and efficient.
On the ocassion, he said that the Zero Waste Operation should be ensured in the city at all costs as there will be no compromise on cleanliness. Garbage and rubbish should be picked up as soon as possible, he added.
