No space for corrupt officers in Islamabad police: Ch Nisar

Police officers should tell who ordered them to use force against sit-in protesters, says Nisar
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Monday said that there is no space for corrupt officers in Islamabad police. He said that the police officers should reveal the person who ordered them to use force against the sit-in protesters, Dunya News reported.
Addressing a meeting of Islamabad police, Interior Minister bitterly criticized the police and said that IG and SSP were not ordered to use force against the sit-in protesters. He said that the officers were tasked only to guard the public property and the lives of the people.
“Police is unable to control the law and order situation. Only those officers will continue to serve in Islamabad police who will do his duty with honesty”, said Chaudhry Nisar. He said that the SHOs and DPOs do not take immediate action to ensure public safety. “Police officers must mend their ways otherwise there will be no place for them in the Islamabad police”, he warned.
