Another case of Congo fever surfaces in Quetta
On September 4, a 55-year-old man was diagnosed with Congo fever
QUETTA (Dunya News) - Another case of Congo fever surfaced in Quetta where a patient tested positive for the disease, Dunya News reported here on Saturday.
According to hospital administration, a 50-year-old man after some symptoms for Congo fever was referred for medical tests.
In the tests, it was revealed that the patient suffered from Congo fever. The patient hailed from Quetta city.
It is relevant to mention that on September 4, a 55-year-old man was diagnosed with Congo fever in Quetta.
The patient was admitted to Fatima Jinnah Institute. On suspicion, his blood sample was sent to a laboratory for Congo virus.
According to the hospital administration, the blood reports confirmed that the patient has Congo virus. He was being treated in an isolation ward of the institute.
The health experts have advised people, particularly those dealing with livestock to take precautionary measures to avert this deadly fever.
Last year in Quetta, several cases of Congo fever were detected and some of them lost their lives to the deadly virus.
