News of attack on Nawaz Sharif turns out to be false
The protestors were participating in a campaign against government policies
LONDON (Dunya News) - The news of an attack on London-based PML-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif turned out to be false.
Khurram Butt, the security in-charge of the PML-N leader in London on Sunday, posted the news of the attack on the former prime minister in his tweet and linked the arrest of a suspect to the attack on the PML-N leader.
Later, it was revealed that Nawaz Sharif was in a cafe and there was a protest outside it, during which a bitter exchange of words took place between the police and the protestors. The protestors threw coffee at the police which fell on Nawaz Sharif's car.
The protestors were participating in a campaign against the government policies. Khurram Butt's tweet was deleted shortly after the news broke.
