ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - On World Children’s Day, actor Saba Qamar used her platform to call for greater awareness and action on children’s rights in the country.
Dressed in a blue Unicef shirt, Qamar, National Ambassador for Child Rights in Pakistan, urged her followers to “come together” to ensure every child’s rights are protected.
In a video shared on Instagram, she highlighted that “every child has a right to learn, to grow up healthy, to live in a safe environment, and to have a voice in the decisions that shape their future.”
She also encouraged Pakistanis to “turn Pakistan blue” in solidarity with World Children’s Day.
Appointed in 2024 as Unicef’s first National Ambassador for Child Rights in Pakistan, Qamar pledged to use her platform to advocate for issues affecting young people, including child marriage, education, mental health, gender equality, climate change, and the impact of violence and poverty.
