Man held for abducting, raping domestic help in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police have arrested a man for raping a domestic help after abducting her from a flat where she worked with her mother, Dunya News reported here on Wednesday.

The arrested man has been identified as Shahi Sardar. He allegedly abducted the 17-year-old girl with the abetment of his accomplices and subjected her to rape.

The victim did work in flats situated in Gulshan Maymar with her mother. The accused also resided in one of the flats. According to a complaint lodged with the Gulshan Maymar police, the accused often harassed the girl, and the girl protested and resisted his approach, the accused kidnapped and raped her.

On the other hand, Sindh IG Javaid has suspended Gulshan Maymar SHO for showing delay in registering a case against the accused.

The IG took action on the complaint of the rape victim and sought a report on the incident. Further investigation was underway.
