KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police claimed to have eliminated three suspected outlaws involved in dozens of cases of heinous crimes in shoots in different areas of the city here on Sunday night.

Special Investigation Unit police claimed that they were conducting an operation near Badhani Goth in Maripur to arrest a suspect wanted in a robbery-cum-murder case. During the operation, the suspect opened fire on police and damaged their vehicle.

Police personnel remained safe with the help of bulletproof vests. Two suspects were killed in the police retaliatory firing. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the dead suspects. The process of identifying the suspects is underway.

During a patrol in Kharadar, police encountered street criminals near Jodia Bazaar, resulting in the death of one suspect, while his accomplice managed to escape. Weapons and other equipment have been recovered from the possession of the deceased suspect.

In Sector XI-J, New Karachi, a suspect was arrested in an injured condition after an exchange of fire with police. The suspect's accomplice managed to escape. Weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspect. A case was registered against him.
