Robber killed, other held during 'encounters' in Mandi Bahauddin

MANDI BAHAUDDIN (Dunya News) – An alleged robber was killed and other arrested after being injured in an exchange of fire with police in two incidents in Mianwali Gondal police jurisdiction and Paharianwli here on Thursday night, Dunya news reported.
Police set up barricades in Paharianwli. In the meantime, two suspects riding a bike appeared there. Police signaled them to stop. They did not comply with the police directives and started firing. Police retaliated in their defence. As a result of the shootout, a suspect was killed and his accomplice escaped.
The dead suspect outlaw was identified as Aurangzeb alias Rango. During investigation, it came to light that Rango was wanted in 28 cases of heinous crimes. Further investigation was underway.
In other incident in Mianwali Gondal police jurisdiction, a suspected outlaw was injured and arrested in a shootout with police. He was identified as Khizarhayat. He was involved in 19 cases of crimes. His accomplice escaped. A manhunt was launched to arrest the fleeing outlaw.
