LAHORE (Dunya News) – The written court order for the physical remand of National Cyber Crime Agency officers (NCCA) arrested over bribery allegations in the “Ducky Bhai” case has been issued.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo released a three-page written decision approving an additional three-day physical remand for the accused.
According to the written order, the accused are charged with fraud and embezzling a large amount of money — reportedly Rs42.55 million. The FIA requested an extension of the remand to gather further evidence and documents.
The court order states that, according to records, recoveries included Rs700,000 from Arsalan Raza, Rs9.9 million from Zawar, Rs1.948 million from Yasir, Rs360,000 from Mujtaba Zafar, Rs4.5 million from Muhammad Usman, and Rs300,000 from Salman Aziz. Complainant Aroob Jatoi alleged that Rs9 million was paid as a bribe to Shoaib Riaz.
The order further mentions that Aroob Jatoi claimed Rs500,000 was also paid to Chaudhry Sarfraz Ahmed. According to the investigating officer, the case consists of two parts — one concerning the bribery allegations and the other involving an alleged corruption network within the NCCIA.
The FIA reported that the accused possessed assets beyond their known sources of income. It added that due to ongoing recovery operations and official holidays, statements from victims could not yet be completed, making further investigation essential.
The court ruled that any future remand will be granted only on the basis of concrete evidence and progress, while approving a three-day extension in physical remand and directing the FIA to complete verification of complaints from the victims.
