Couple shot dead in Batapur
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Police claimed to have killed a suspected robber and arrested his accomplice after an ‘encounter’ in North Nazimabad, Dunya News reported here on Sunday.
Police said they got information about the presence of two robbers in North Nazimabad. When police raided the area, the outlaws opened fire on the police, who retaliated to their fire.
As a result of the crossfire, a bandit was killed whereas his accomplice escaped. Valuables, cash, arms and bikes were seized.
The dead robber was shifted to hospital. He was identified as Bilal. Further investigation was under way.
DOUBLE MURDER
A man and a woman were gunned down in Batapur when their car came under fire by assailants riding bikes.
On information, police rushed to the crime scene and started investigation after shifting the dead bodies to hospital. The attackers escaped.
A police team has been constituted to hunt for the murderers. Police suspected that the double murder may be the outcome of rivalry.
