Sheikhupura police 'kill three in encounters'

One of the suspects was wanted to police in more than 100 cases
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – Police in Sheikhupura district of Punjab killed two hitmen and an absconder in encounters on Wednesday night.
Police sources say two shooters identified as Fahad and Ahsan were killed by the firing of their accomplices in an alleged encounter. The suspects were being taken for recoveries and their accomplices opened fire on police party and the force also retaliated. As a result, the suspects were injured and later succumbed to their injuries.
In another incident, a suspect was killed in Abdiyan Road encounter in the jurisdiction of Narang Mandi police station in Muridke tehsil. Police said they were taking the suspect for recoveries when his accomplices opened fire on the police van. The suspect was killed during the shootout between police and suspects.
Police said a search operation was under way to arrest the fleeing suspects. The deceased suspect was wanted to police in more than 100 cases.
