One killed, two injured in tribal dispute

CHICHAWATNI (Dunya News) – A former revenue official was killed and his two relatives were injured shot dead over a petty dispute in Chichawatni tehsil of Sahiwal district on Thursday evening, police and witnesses said.
The incident took place in village 39/14L-P near Kassowal city. The issue exacerbated into an armed conflict between two clans. The exchange of fire claimed life of Ghulam Rasool Jatt, whlile his son Hassan and relative Yunus got injured. The firing triggered panic among the locals and situation remained tense for some time.
A good number of policemen rushed to the crime scene to handle the situation. The body and the injured were shifted to a hospital. Police conducted raids to arrest the members of both groups.
